WITHOUT YOU

My life is pointless without you dad

People tell me to think about the good times we had

It doesn’t help; it makes it worse

Knowing any day you could be leaving in a hearse

Then what am I supposed to do

Just live life without you

Pretend it didn’t happen

Am I supposed to just carry on with my life

Knowing you will never meet my wife

Or go fishing with my son, or be there when I make a mistake

Knowing your hand I cannot take will be the hardest thing I will ever know

I don’t know what to do; I will be lost without you

There is so much you never taught me and so much I want to learn

Soon it will be my turn, to take care and teach my son

He will only know stories about you dad

And the good times that we had

Every night when he is sleeping sound

He will dream you were around

To share the love that we have had with his wonderful Loving granddad

JOSH
